Source : http://www.bharattextile.com/ BEIJING: According to State Administration of Customs, December yarn imports totaled 73,800 tons, up 8.97% from November and 26.78% higher than year ago level. Yarn exports recorded 34,200 tons, down 3,000 tons from previous month and 1,300 tons less than year ago level. September through December, cumulative yarn imports totaled 275,300 tons, up 17% year on year. Export totaled 146,100 tons, 4% higher than 2004 level. The updated release from National Bureau of Statistics shows that domestic yarn production increased 61,000 (4.6%) from November to 1.39 mil tons in December 2005. This is up 270,200 tons or 23.6% from the corresponding month in 2004. Cumulative yarn output for January through December totaled 14,124,000 tons, 1,210,000 tons higher than 12,913,000 tons adjusted a month before. |
